Every rupee, itemised: our fee, GST and each government component. Nothing is added after you pay.
Goods are classes 1 to 34, services 35 to 45. Most brands need one or two classes.
Government fee is per class and paid at cost. Nothing added later.
The short answerTrademark registration in India has two parts: our fee and the government fee per class. Our fee starts from ₹1,999 plus 18% GST, and the government fee is ₹4,500 per class for individuals, startups and MSMEs or ₹9,000 for other applicants. Each extra class adds one more government fee. All-in, that is ₹6,859 to ₹28,099 across our plans for the default case (one class, individual, startup or MSME applicant), with government fees included where they apply.
The table is for one class. Each extra class adds one more government fee; the estimator computes any number of classes for either applicant type.

Government fee per class: ₹4,500 for individuals, startups and MSMEs, ₹9,000 for others.
Individuals, DPIIT-recognised startups and Udyam-registered MSMEs pay ₹4,500 per class; companies and others without those certificates pay ₹9,000. A Udyam certificate alone halves the government fee.
The government fee is per class. A brand with an app (class 9) and a service (class 42) is two classes and two fees.
One application covers one mark. A word mark and a stylised logo are two applications if you want both protected separately.
An examination report needs a reply within 30 days; an opposition needs a counter-statement and evidence. Growth includes the examination reply; oppositions are quoted when they arise.
Claiming a first-use date needs an affidavit and dated evidence. It strengthens the application but adds drafting work.
Professional fees below exclude GST. The government fee per class depends on the applicant type and is itemised in the estimator above.

₹4,500 per class per application for an individual, a DPIIT-recognised startup or an Udyam-registered MSME, and ₹9,000 per class for every other applicant, including companies without those certificates. The fee is paid to IP India at filing and is the same for a word mark and a logo.
One government fee per class, so three classes at the startup rate is ₹13,500 in government fees, plus our fee. Our Complete plan includes a second class. Pick the classes you actually trade in now; you can file additional classes later as separate applications.
Included on the Growth and Complete plans. On Starter we quote it before you file, so you know the figure if an examination report arrives. The reply must go in within 30 days of the report, and the government charges no fee for it.
GST at 18% applies on our professional fee only. The government fee paid to IP India carries no GST. The estimator shows both lines and the total for your applicant type and number of classes.
The renewal in Form TM-R carries its own government fee per class, payable up to six months before expiry, plus a professional fee if we file it. We remind you in year nine. Late renewal within the grace period costs a surcharge, and a lapsed mark can be removed from the register.
Government fees, forms and due dates on this page are checked against these portals. Where a state or a year changes a figure, we say so on the call.
